These photos are from an amazing evening at the first ever Bolon House, located by a lake about 15 minutes drive from the small town of Ulricehamn in Sweden. Annica and Marie, sisters and owners of the high end carpet brand, has spent a considerable amount of time renovating the house, which up until they bought it only could be reached by the water. For this particular evening Oddbirds did the table setting and the amazing chef Patrick catered for the food and great service. He also came early next morning and served breakfast for those of us who stayed over…
Two years ago Bolon launched the book The Story of Bolon with great images by Tobias Regell at Ett Hem in Stockholm during the Stockhom Furniture & Light fair. And apart from a big step launching more environmently friendly carpets this year, Bolon has great plans of branching out.
This house is the first in a series of Bolon Houses that will see the light of day in the near future. To be used in first hand by clients, press and collaborators (Jean Nouvel and Ilse Crawford recently stayed) but eventually work as guest houses extraordinare.
The images from the dinner is shot by Annica Eklund – nursuring plans to do a photography book herself and shooting her first bigger home story for Residence in the summer. The portraits from the book are shot by Tobias Regell.
