Ceramics to love

When visiting Iceland last year I came across the studio of ceramic artist Sigrún Guðmundsdóttir, an amazing space she shared in central Reykjavik with fashion designer Steinunn Sigurðardóttir. I immediately feel in love with her strong ceramic pieces.

Sigrún originally studied classical ballet at the National Theatre in Iceland and The Royal Ballet School in London and was a dancer at the Icelandic Ballet Company and the Oper Bonn in Germany for many years. She also has a  B.Ed in teaching with art and textile as majors and has studied Fine Arts and Design at the Reykjavik Art School. Check her out if you visit Reykjavik during the DesignMarch next month.
