This is a small selection of contract launches for the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, opening on the 3rd of February. Some pre-launches are already taking place. Today Anya Sebton is showing her chair Add chair for Lammhults, a continuation of last years success, the Add stool, an aesthetically pleasing stool created to promote a more activity based office.
Pleasing both to the eye and to the posture.
A truly great project: Kali is a wooden chair by British designer Jasper Morrison for Offecct. Created for use in a Tanzanian orphanage, the chair will be sold to fund the centre’s development. Eventually it will include an orphanage, a school, offices, and homes for children and aid workers in the area. The chair is currently made in Sweden, but it is designed to make it easy to bring production to northern Tanzania in the future – creating local work opportunities.
Peter Opsviks chair Håg Capisco turns 30 years and to celebrate this they have collaborated with Tärnsjö Garveri, creating a limited edition upholstered chair in leather from the best tannery in Sweden. Chairs celebrating anniversaries may be a bit of a tiring trend, but this combination is a winner for Scandinavian Businnes Seating.
